This is a photo of Hurricane Ike taken most likley from a sattelite. This photo strikes me as using Depth to catch the viewers eye. It has a very good perspective and shows alot, like the storms strands of rain clouds and the enormous size of the storm. I'd say that this is a really good picture from a very good angle, because it doesnt show you the ENTIRE storm leaving your imagination to think about the true size of this colossal storm.
This photo is an excellent example on how cropping can make a picture look much better. When an photographer crops a picture, he or she is leaving space for your imagination to think about just how bad the flood was in this picture for example. The viewer doesnt know exactly WHERE this man is. Is he in a ditch, middle of a city street, or maybe in a big field? Sometimes its good to get real close and not give too much away. This photographer made it work perfectly. |
